Five Star Group started as a small livestock processing plant in the year of 1996. Mr Anton Wijesinghe the visionary and founder of the company, had one simple goal in mind, which was to provide nothing but the best for his family as a father. He has been and still is a mentor and role model for his children and all around him. After two decades since his humble beginnings,his vision for Five Star Group has flourished to 4 large scale companies serving to the agricultural needs of the Sri Lankan community. He has set an exemplary path for others to follow. Five Star Group yet remains privately owned and operated with a focus of being a fully integrated company. Our success is not an individual success but a collective success. It is our persisting value for co-workers and farmers themselves that have enabled for the company to grow and shine. We extend our gratitude by continuously working towards empowering our fellow employees and farmers. People are our most valuable asset. The values of the company remains at the core of our success and will continue to a future of prosperity.

Anton Wijesinghe (Chairman)
Every business comes with its own set of challenges and obstacles, but what persists is your determination and vigilance. My driving goal has always been to challenge myself with the unknown and I do so everyday. How Five Star Group has grown from a small business to a well rounded large scale enterprise stems from the ability to challenge one self with the unknown. We have always strived to be a unique player in the economy of Sri Lanka by setting an example for success. We bring our traditional family values of fairness, honesty and trust to furthering modern and innovative ways of developing our business and associated relationships. I would like to take this opportunity to thank every individual, especially my beloved partner and managing director of the company, Ruwani Wijesinghe, for their invaluable input to making what Five Star Group is today. Viraj Wijesinghe (CEO)
As the son of Mr. Anton Wijesinghe, I take great pride and honor to follow the foot steps of my father. Through his teachings I’ve established myself into the business world. I believe that as business people t we must protect the market and its consumers because they are the life line of the economy. We are here to serve the demands of society and we must supply in the most efficient an effective manner. Business in the 21st century is not merely about generating large profits, rather it’s about finding ways to help society- by producing to satisfy those identified needs. I will work to sustain Five Star Group to the highest of standards and uphold our organizational beliefs.
